Hoboken Talent Delivering Sharp, Unforgettable Laughs Across NY and NJ
Born and bred in Hoboken, New Jersey, Sandy Ehlers knows how to weave everyday life into side-splitting stand-up. A twelve-year comedy veteran, she’s commanded stages at New York’s top clubs — from Gotham and Broadway Comedy Club to The Comic Strip — delivering sets that are as big-hearted as they are hilarious.
Sandy’s comedy career took off with an appearance on ABC’s The View alongside Joy Behar. She deepened her art with improv at Upright Citizens Brigade, trained as a clown with Kendall Cornell’s troupe, and even performed for a Cirque du Soleil cast party at NYC’s Club Pacha. Her dedication continued with two years of acting at Joanna Beckson Studios. This journey caught the eye of legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles, who featured Sandy in a weight-loss campaign directed by his team.
Sandy is a Cape May Comedy Festival top ten finalist (the only woman to make the cut out of 100 comedians) and has graced the stage at the Gotham Comedy Club’s Ladies of Laughter competition. Her style? Eclectic, eccentric, unfiltered — with a voice so distinct, an audience once dubbed her the female Frank Sinatra of comedy.
For Sandy, comedy goes beyond the spotlight. She brings laughter to charity shows for Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Wounded Warrior events, and Gilda’s Club across NY and NJ — proving humor truly heals. Most weekends, she’s on the road, entertaining crowds at Elks Clubs, VFWs, country clubs, and private events. Peers and critics alike rave about her unforgettable shows.
Whether she’s delivering stories that echo Joy Behar or dropping punchlines with a Roseanne edge, Sandy Ehlers keeps crowds entertained and wanting more. Discover where she’s performing next and join in the fun.
